Duterte to sign P5-trillion 2022 nat'l budget by Dec. 29

President Rodrigo Duterte is expected to sign the P5-trillion 2022 national budget sometime between December 26 and December 29.

Senate President Vicente Sotto III signed the budget books on Thursday, December 23, and sent it to Malacañang for the President's review.

Speaker Lord Allan Velasco also signed the budget bill on Wednesday, December 22.

Budget Undersecretary Tina Rose Marie Canda said that about P6 billion from the 2022 national budget will be allocated for Typhoon Odette recovery efforts once the General Appropriations Act is signed.
