Duterte urges digitization to end queueing

President Rodrigo Duterte called on government agencies during his 5th State of the Nation Address to digitize transactions and eliminate physical queueing due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Duterte emphasized the need for e-governance and paperless business practices, urging agencies like the Department of Budget and Management and Anti-Red Tape Authority to make government services available online.

He stressed that this transition is part of adapting to a new normal while reducing bureaucratic red tape.
