Roque tells OCTA: Info drive okay but relay proposals privately

Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque told OCTA Research team members Thursday that while they may continue informing the public about their findings regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, their quarantine recommendations should be relayed privately to the government.

Roque emphasized that President Rodrigo Duterte needs leeway to make decisions on quarantine levels without public pressure, as these decisions involve balancing health and economic considerations.

The Palace official previously asked OCTA to keep their recommendations private to allow Duterte to decide without influence from any group or individual.
