Duterte urges ASEAN cooperation in COVID-19 fight

During a virtual summit on Tuesday, President Rodrigo Duterte urged ASEAN countries to strengthen cooperation in combating the coronavirus pandemic.

Duterte emphasized the need for intra-ASEAN trade to ensure health and food security, stressing that no country can stand alone during this crisis.

He called for boosting production of medical supplies and ensuring smooth flow of goods within the region to address global shortages.

The president also highlighted the importance of collaboration beyond ASEAN to effectively overcome the pandemic's challenges.
