Duterte OKs P1.5-B augmentation for Ulysses-hit LGUs

President Rodrigo Duterte has approved an additional PHP1.5 billion to augment calamity funds for local government units (LGUs) affected by Typhoon Ulysses.

The fund will be distributed to LGUs in Central Luzon, Region 2, and other areas including Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Camarines Sur, Quezon, Albay, Rizal, Quirino, Laguna, Camarines Norte, Pangasinan, Nueva Vizcaya, Tarlac, Aurora, Cavite, Ilocos Norte, Batangas, Sorsogon, Marikina, Manila, Bataan, and Masbate.

This additional fund is separate from the PHP1.5 billion already given to CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, and Bicol regions affected by Typhoons Quinta and Rolly.
