DTI urges IATF to allow more personal care services under Alert Level 4

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) is urging the inter-agency task force on COVID-19 (IATF) to allow more personal care establishments, such as barbershops and nail salons, to open under Alert Level 4.

Trade Secretary Ramon Lopez emphasized that these businesses must strictly adhere to minimum health protocols including physical distancing and ventilation requirements.

Lopez noted that the IATF is considering reopening additional activities to help people return to work and boost the economy.
