DSWD provides over P16M aid for Enteng victims
Over P16 million worth of humanitarian assistance has been provided to more than 303,938 individuals affected by Tropical Storm Enteng in multiple provinces.
The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) spokesperson Irene Dumlao announced during the Bagong Pilipinas Ngayon briefing that assistance is being distributed across regions including Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, Calabarzon, and other affected areas.
Dumlao added that over 150,000 food packs have been requested by local government units with additional requests expected from northern parts of the country.
The DSWD has also provided non-food items such as family kits, hygiene kits, and kitchen kits to support those in evacuation centers.
Tropical Storm Enteng is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Wednesday morning according to PAGASA.
As of Tuesday, 10 people have died due to Tropical Storm Enteng.
