DSWD allocates P360M for Crising flood victims

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has allocated P360 million for flood victims affected by Severe Tropical Storm Crising in the Philippines, according to Leyte 1st District Representative Ferdinand Martin Romualdez.

This assistance includes AKAP cash grants, food packs, and hot meal food trucks for those affected by Tropical Storm Crising and habagat rains.

Each of the 36 congressional districts will receive P10 million in direct financial aid under this provision.

Romualdez emphasized that President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. instructed the release of the calamity assistance to indigent residents, highlighting the government's commitment to providing immediate help during disasters and ongoing support.

The DSWD has also mobilized hot meal food trucks to assist families affected by torrential rains in Metro Manila, demonstrating their proactive approach to disaster response.
