Kamuning Flyover upper southbound lanes reopen late Aug

The upper portion of the southbound lanes of Kamuning Flyover is set to reopen for motorists by late August, according to the Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region (DPWH-NCR).

Regional Director Loretta Malaluan told the Philippine News Agency that good weather conditions will allow them to focus on repairing the under slab of the flyover.

Work on retrofitting the lower portion of the flyover is expected to be completed before the end of 2024, including installing SP chains in preparation for a potential massive earthquake.

DPWH-NCR also mentioned plans to replace expansion joints at the Magallanes Flyover starting in August, with completion anticipated by year-end.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has provided alternate routes for the public during the Kamuning Flyover's closure.
