DPWH closes roads in Metro Manila for repairs from Oct 18-21

Some roads in Metro Manila will be closed for repairs and reblocking this weekend, with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announcing closures from 11 p.m. on October 18 until 1 a.m. on October 21, impacting five cities including Quezon City, Mandaluyong, Caloocan, Navotas, and Malabon.

Specific areas affected include parts of EDSA in Quezon City: SB Fernando Poe Jr. Avenue to Lanutan, SB West Avenue to MRT North Avenue Station, NB Misamis Street to Corregidor Street, Bansalangin Street to West Avenue, sections of Commonwealth Avenue in Quezon City: SB Don Jose to Odigal and NB Road 2 Street to Zuzuaregui Street, as well as parts of Bonifacio Monumento Circle in Caloocan City.

Additional closures include areas such as Connecticut Street to Rochester Street (EDSA/buslane/southbound) and Pioneer to Reliance Street (EDSA/buslane/northbound) in Mandaluyong; asphalt overlaying along SM North EDSA to Nueva Ecija Ext. Street (EDSA/buslane/northbound), Roosevelt Station to Bansalangin Street (EDSA/southbound), and Quezon Avenue to Philam footbridge (EDSA/2nd lane/northbound) in Quezon City.

Motorists are advised to take alternate routes such as West Avenue Baler Street to Bulacan Street, Cloverleaf EDSA to A. Bonifacio, and Gen. San Miguel EB between PNR to A. Mabini Street to avoid delays.

The DPWH emphasized the importance of following these road closures to ensure safety during the repair work.
