DoubleDragon subsidizes SSS contributions for 2,000 informal workers in Iloilo and Roxas

DoubleDragon Corp. has committed PHP 18.2 million to fully subsidize 12 months of Social Security System contributions for 2,000 informal sector workers in Iloilo and Roxas City.

The company signed a memorandum of agreement with the SSS under its Contribution Subsidy Provider Program (CSPP), which aims to help Filipino workers gain access to social security benefits.

This initiative will support both the workers and their families by covering contributions for at least six consecutive months.

SSS President Robert De Claro highlighted that this subsidy provides informal sector workers with an opportunity to join the SSS and benefit from its programs.

The SSS recently announced plans to increase collections from self-employed professionals, including a contribution rate hike to 15% from 14%, and adjustments in monthly salary credits.

These changes are expected to generate additional PHP 51.5 billion in collections, with PHP 18.3 billion allocated to the Mandatory Provident Fund accounts of SSS members.
