DOT welcomes expanded indoor seating for vaccinated diners

The Department of Tourism (DOT) welcomed the expansion of indoor seating capacities for fully vaccinated individuals to 20 percent in National Capital Region (NCR) establishments.

This increase is based on the latest Inter-Agency Task Force resolution, with an additional 10 percent capacity for Safety Seal recipients.

Tourism Secretary Berna Romulo-Puyat noted that 99 percent of tourism workers in DOT-accredited hotels and restaurants in Metro Manila are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

On September 30, Puyat called for operational capacity increases beyond the initial 10% limit as vaccination coverage widens in NCR.
