DOT signs agreement for Film Heritage Building in Intramuros

The Department of Tourism (DOT) announced a 22-year agreement with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) for the construction of a Film Heritage Building in Intramuros.

Scheduled to be built on an 800 sqm lot along Sta. Lucia Street, the building will house a film museum, gallery, media library, storage vaults, scanning facility, and restoration room.

The facility will also include FDCP offices, lounge areas, board rooms, a merchandise shop, and a cafe.

DOT Secretary Christina Frasco expressed optimism about the project's potential to boost tourism and preserve Philippine film heritage.
