DOH: RT-PCR retest not needed for returning workers

The Department of Health (DOH) announced that returning workers no longer need to undergo an RT-PCR retest if they have completed their 14-day quarantine and received clearance from a government or private physician.

This applies to employees who recovered from COVID-19 and finished their isolation period as well.

Meanwhile, the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID) shortened the quarantine period for fully vaccinated individuals exposed to confirmed cases of COVID-19 to seven days if they remain asymptomatic.
