DOH proposes P182-B budget for UHC implementation

The Department of Health (DOH) has proposed a budget of P182.1 billion for 2021, aimed at implementing the Universal Healthcare law and enhancing the country's response to emerging infectious diseases like COVID-19.

Of this amount, P53.2 billion will be allocated towards universal healthcare programs, while P20.89 billion will support health system resilience against new outbreaks.

Additionally, P35.1 billion is set aside for other health-related initiatives such as cancer care and HIV/AIDS prevention.
