China not yet on PH travel ban list pending confirmation

The Philippines has not included China on its list of countries banned for entry due to the new coronavirus variant because international agencies have yet to confirm reports.

On January 1, CGTN reported that a female student returning to China from the UK tested positive for the new variant, but this is considered an unofficial report by the DOH and Malacañang.

The Philippines added Portugal, India, Finland, Norway, Jordan, and Brazil to its list of travel-restricted countries on January 6, joining other nations already banned since late December.
