DOH launches specialty centers for orthopedic, trauma, burn care in Pampanga

On Wednesday, the Department of Health (DOH) launched advanced specialty centers for orthopedic, trauma, and burn care at Jose B. Lingad Memorial General Hospital in San Fernando City, Pampanga.

These centers support President Marcos Jr.'s health agenda to enhance access to quality medical services across the country by providing urgent care for patients needing specialized treatment without traveling far.

Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including robotics and integrated operating rooms with digital equipment, the new centers aim to provide fast and safe healthcare services, particularly for emergency cases.

Health Secretary Ted Herbosa highlighted the DOH's commitment to modernizing regional health facilities to reduce patient travel for specialized care.

The facility includes two fully-equipped buildings with 125-bed capacity, three integrated operating rooms with live video consultation capabilities, and advanced diagnostic tools like CT scans and ultrasound.
