DOH eyes shorter quarantine for fully vaxxed HCWs

The Department of Health is considering reducing the quarantine period for fully vaccinated healthcare workers who are exposed to COVID-19 cases.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said this proposal aims to ensure the availability of more healthcare workers as infections rise.

Under the proposed policy, fully vaccinated health workers in isolation would need a negative swab test result on the fifth day of quarantine.
