DOH allows med grads to practice 'limited medicine' vs COVID-19

The Department of Health (DOH) has issued a memorandum allowing medical graduates to engage in limited practice without needing a certificate of registration from the Professional Regulation Commission.

This move is consistent with Republic Act 11469, which allows for temporary human resources during emergencies, and RA 2382, which permits medical graduates to render services during epidemics or national emergencies.

DOH Undersecretary Maria Rosario Singh-Vergeire emphasized the importance of these medical graduates in supporting the fight against COVID-19.
