DOH-13 urges fast lanes for dengue, reports 2,369 cases

The Department of Health in Caraga is encouraging residents to use 'fast lanes' at designated hospitals for dengue cases due to a rise in the disease.

Early medical consultation is crucial, according to DOH-13, to prevent severe complications from dengue.

From January 1 to March 1, the region saw 2,369 dengue cases, a 23 percent increase compared to the same period last year with 1,921.

Of these cases, 439 were confirmed, 499 probable, and 1,431 uncertain; Surigao del Norte reported 415 cases, while Surigao del Sur had 434.

DOH-13 emphasized the need for community efforts to eliminate mosquito breeding sites to control the spread of dengue.
