DOF extends small business wage subsidy application deadline to May 8

The government has extended the deadline for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to apply for wage subsidies until May 8 due to technical issues with the Social Security System's website.

Originally set for April 30, the program aims to provide a P5,000-P8,000 monthly subsidy for two months to benefit around 3.4 million individuals employed by MSMEs.

Employers can apply on behalf of their employees using either an email link sent by SSS or through alternative methods provided by the Department of Finance.
