DOE urges reporting of fuel stations with unreasonable oil prices

The Department of Energy (DOE) is urging consumers to report fuel stations selling petroleum products above monitored price ranges due to ongoing oil price hikes.

Diesel prices range from PHP52 to PHP65 per liter, gasoline from PHP60 to PHP83 per liter, and kerosene from PHP61 to PHP68 per liter nationwide.

DOE Undersecretary Gerardo Erguiza Jr. stated that the agency will not tolerate retail outlets taking advantage of the current oil market situation.

Prices have increased for nine consecutive weeks; diesel prices rose by PHP16.61 per liter over nearly three years, while gasoline prices increased from PHP43.39 to PHP69.28 per liter in the same period.
