DOE: Gas prices drop up to P3.60/liter starting Tuesday

Motorists can expect significant price cuts of up to P3.60 per liter for various oil products starting Tuesday, April 15.

The Department of Energy announced that gasoline will decrease by P3.60 per liter, diesel by P2.90 per liter, and kerosene by P3.30 per liter.

This week's price cuts are the largest so far this year, driven by global recession fears and heightened trade tensions between the United States and China, affecting crude oil demand.

Oil firms such as Shell Pilipinas, Cleanfuel, Seaoil, and Caltex have announced these downward adjustments in separate advisories on Monday, April 14. The price reductions will take effect as early as 6 a.m. on Tuesday.
