DMW to repatriate all 421 distressed Kuwait OFWs by January end

The Department of Migrant Workers aims to repatriate all 421 distressed Filipino workers in Kuwait by the end of January.

As of Saturday, 142 OFWs had been brought home since January 17th, with another batch of 120 expected to arrive next Tuesday.

On Friday, 102 OFWs who faced abuse from their employers landed at Ninoy Aquino International Airport accompanied by OWWA administrator Arnell Ignacio.

The repatriations are easing the overcrowded conditions in shelters and addressing various forms of abuse, including contract violations.
