DILG extends financing to 1,000 Bukidnon farmers through AGRISENSO Plus

The government extended financing assistance to 1,000 farmers in Bukidnon through the Land Bank of the Philippines' enhanced AGRISENSO Plus program during a launch event on Friday in Malaybalay.

Finance Secretary Ralph Recto and other officials distributed financial aid, emphasizing that access to capital is crucial for sustaining crop production and enhancing farmer well-being.

AGRISENSO Plus aims to empower small farmers and MSMEs by providing better access to credit, capacity-building, and market linkages, aligning with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s goal to boost the agriculture sector.

The initiative has disbursed PHP1.16 billion in loans, benefiting over 6,800 borrowers and financing more than 21,000 hectares of farmland within six months as of May 2025.

Mayor Jay Warren Pabillaran highlighted that the city's Agriculture and Fisheries Council has an allocated annual budget to support farmers and foster stronger stakeholder engagement with the government.
