DHSUD signs agreements with agencies to build nearly 8,000 housing units

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) signed agreements on Labor Day with key shelter agencies, including Pag-IBIG Fund, National Housing Authority (NHA), and Social Housing Finance Corporation (SHFC), to construct nearly 8,000 housing units as part of the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino or 4PH Program.

These agreements aim to expedite housing projects in strategic locations such as Valenzuela City, San Fernando, Pampanga, Davao City, and Manila, including a medium-rise condominium with 372 units in Valenzuela City; 3,440 units in San Fernando, Pampanga; 1,200 units in Calinan District, Davao City; 2,135 units in Tondo, Manila; and 425 units in Sta. Mesa, Manila.

Pag-IBIG Fund will finance these housing projects through its Direct Developmental Loan Program, aligning with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s goal to close the country's housing gap.

DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar emphasized the importance of collaboration among agencies for the success of the program and highlighted Pag-IBIG Fund's role in providing project financing and end-user housing loans under affordable terms.

Through these partnerships, the DHSUD aims to ensure that every Filipino family has access to decent and affordable housing.
