DHSUD allocates PHP15M for Catanduanes typhoon recovery

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) 5 has allocated PHP15 million for emergency shelter response in Catanduanes following Super Typhoon Pepito.

Director Richard Manila confirmed that housing materials, essentials, and cash assistance will be provided to affected households through the Integrated Disaster Shelter Assistance Program (IDSAP).

Manila personally visited Governor Joseph Cua to report on initial assistance, which includes construction materials for rebuilding homes.

The home repair kit, or HOME, consists of eight galvanized iron sheets, 10 pieces of plywood, 24 pieces of lumber, and two kilograms of nails.

Local chief executives need to comply with requirements such as disaster reports and beneficiary eligibility sheets before receiving cash assistance under IDSAP.
