DepEd: No face-to-face classes until COVID-19 vaccine is available

The Department of Education (DepEd) reiterated on Monday that face-to-face classes will not resume until a COVID-19 vaccine is available, in compliance with President Rodrigo Duterte's directive.

Education Secretary Leonor Briones stated that DepEd would comply with the president’s order and continue preparing for alternative learning methods such as blended learning.

Briones emphasized that while traditional face-to-face classes are on hold, DepEd remains committed to providing quality education through its Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan (BE-LCP).
