DepEd gets 100 tablets, 3 satellite internet kits for Cebu schools

The Department of Education (DepEd) praised private sector donations of computer tablets and Starlink internet devices to remote schools in Cebu on Monday.

Through the Pay IT Forward: A Digital Transformation Advocacy initiative, DepEd partnered with DICT, iACADEMY, and Republic Asia to provide digital tools to underserved areas.

Eight public high schools in Cebu cities such as Bogo, Carcar, Balamban, Barili, Naga, Danao, Lapu-Lapu, and Toledo received a total of 100 tablets and three satellite internet kits.

Republic Asia CEO Bran F. Reluao emphasized the importance of technology in providing students with equal opportunities for success.

Teachers from the recipient schools expressed gratitude for the support, noting its transformative impact on digital learning experiences.
