DepEd: Classes suspended under any typhoon signal

The Department of Education (DepEd) has updated its order to automatically suspend classes from kindergarten to Grade 12 and work in public schools under any Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) issued by PAGASA.

Based on DepEd Order (DO) 37 signed by Vice President Sara Duterte, all in-person and online classes, as well as Alternative Learning System activities, are canceled in areas with TCWS from 1 to 5 due to Super Typhoon Karding.

DepEd also stated that class suspensions apply in regions under PAGASA's Orange or Red Rainfall Warning or Flood Warning.
