Veteran actress Delia Razon, 94, dies; career spanned decades in Philippine cinema

Veteran actress Delia Razon, who passed away at the age of 94 on Saturday, March 15, had a prolific career spanning several decades in Philippine cinema and television.

Her granddaughter Carla Abellana shared an obituary on Instagram, paying tribute to her late maternal grandmother with an old photo from her acting debut in 'Krus na Bituin' at LVN Pictures.

Razon starred in notable films such as 'Florante at Laura', 'Principe Tenoso', and was nominated for Best Actress at the FAMAS Awards.

Her last projects included the teleserye 'Tayong Dalawa' from 2009 and the film 'Buenavista (Ang Kasaysayan ng Lucena)' in 2010, and she received the FAMAS Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009.

Carla Abellana often spoke about her grandmother's guidance and support throughout her own acting career.
