Dela Rosa wins second straight UAAP women's basketball MVP

Kacey Dela Rosa of Ateneo has secured her second consecutive UAAP Season 87 women's basketball MVP award after a dominant performance in the elimination round.

Dela Rosa led all players with a league-best 96.286 statistical points, averaging 22.1 points, 16 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 3.7 blocks per game.

Joining her as part of the Mythical Five are Kent Pastrana from UST, Louna Ozar from UP, Sarah Makanjuola from Ateneo, and Angel Surada from National University.

Pastrana finished second in MVP voting with 79.857 statistical points while Ozar placed third with 67.571 SPs.

Dela Rosa also earned her third consecutive Mythical Five selection and has won Rookie of the Year in 2022, while National University's Cielo Pagdulagan was named Rookie of the Year for this season.
