PH signs deal for 30M Novavax vaccines

The Philippines has signed a supply agreement with Serum Institute of India for 30 million doses of Novavax vaccines, expected to arrive in the third or fourth quarter of this year.

Vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. announced that they are waiting for the approval of the Serum Institute's application for emergency use authorization (EUA) in the UK, US, and Philippines.

Novavax claims its vaccine is 86.3% effective against the B117 variant and 100% effective in preventing severe symptoms and death.
