DBM to submit P4.5-trillion 2021 budget this week

The Department of Budget and Management (DBM) plans to submit the P4.506-trillion proposed budget for 2021 to the Office of the President this week, aiming to meet the August deadline.

Budget Assistant Secretary Rolando U. Toledo said DBM is finalizing the paperwork and expects to transmit it to Congress by next month.

The Development Budget Coordination Committee (DBCC) has already approved the budget ceiling for 2021, which is higher than this year’s P4.1 trillion allocation due to the impact of the coronavirus crisis.
