4,000 join OGP Fun Run at Quirino Grandstand

More than 4,000 participants joined the first Open Government Partnership (OGP) Fun Run on Sunday morning at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman highlighted that over 200 international participants took part in the event, emphasizing the Philippines' role as a founding member of OGP.

The Department of Budget and Management organized the run to promote health and wellness while championing open government values, with proceeds going to the Philippine Red Cross for humanitarian programs.

Participants could choose from three race distances: 3 kilometers, 5 kilometers, and 10 kilometers around Quirino Grandstand and Rizal Park (Luneta), with the event starting at 5 a.m.

The OGP Fun Run serves as a prelude to the PH-OGP Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting in February 2025, which will be held in Manila.
