PAGASA issues 'danger level' heat index warning for 3 areas

According to PAGASA, three areas in the country are expected to experience a 'danger level' heat index on Friday, March 14.

Dagupan City in Pangasinan is forecasted to have temperatures reaching up to 44°C, while Cuyo in Palawan and Cotabato City in Maguindanao will reach 42°C, posing health risks such as heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke.

In Metro Manila, NAIA Pasay City could see a high of 39°C and Science Garden, Quezon City up to 37°C, with PAGASA advising extreme caution due to potential health risks.

Earlier this week, 37 students in Santa Barbara, Pangasinan were reported to have experienced heat exhaustion.

PAGASA warns that flash floods or landslides could occur due to moderate to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.
