ABS-CBN News, PNA win Rafael M. Salas Award

ABS-CBN News and Philippine News Agency received the Rafael M. Salas Kaunlarang Pantao Award (RMSKPA) in Pasay City for their contributions to advancing the country's population and development agenda.

CPD Undersecretary Lisa Grace Bersales highlighted the importance of accurate reporting on demographic challenges such as climate change, digitalization, and shifting demographics during Wednesday's awarding rites at the Sequoia Hotel Manila Bay in Parañaque City.

Bersales emphasized the need to seize demographic opportunities for socio-economic progress and underscored CPD's commitment to inclusive national development.

Raphael Bosano, ABS-CBN News' Climate, Health, Environment, and Science & Technology Reporter, accepted the award on behalf of his organization and reaffirmed their dedication to informing and empowering citizens through meaningful dialogue.

The ceremony also recognized other government agencies like DOH, DSWD, DILG, PSA, NEDA, and DepEd for their collaborative efforts with CPD.

CPD launched the Philippine Population and Development Plan of Action, a roadmap aimed at advancing the country's population and development goals.
