DeMarcus Cousins mentors Ange Kouame for Dubai tourney

Former NBA star DeMarcus Cousins, now 34 years old, is mentoring younger players as they prepare for the Dubai International Basketball Championship.

Cousins has been actively guiding teammates during training sessions, particularly Ange Kouame, a 27-year-old naturalized Filipino player with Strong Group Athletics, who showed potential despite playing through injury last year.

During Sunday's practice session, Cousins provided tips on both offense and defense to Kouame under the guidance of head coach Charles Tiu.

Cousins expressed enjoyment in his mentoring role, noting that he has always craved for such opportunities when he was younger.

The Strong Group crew, including Cousins and Kouame, will depart for Dubai on Thursday ahead of the competition starting on Friday.
