Construction worker Ricardo 'Cardong Trumpo' Cadavero wins Pilipinas Got Talent

Construction worker Ricardo Cadavero, also known as Cardong Trumpo, won the seventh season of 'Pilipinas Got Talent' on Sunday, June 22, at The Theater in Solaire.

Trumpo's winning performance featured an impressive routine with spinning tops of various sizes, showcasing his balance and skill, and earned him a near-perfect score of 99.5% and the grand prize of P2 million.

Kathryn Bernardo praised Trumpo for embodying the heart she looks for in contestants since he first auditioned, highlighting his dedication to reviving traditional Filipino games like trumpo spinning.

'Pilipinas Got Talent' returned to the spotlight after a seven-year hiatus, with second place going to hip-hop dance group Femme MNL and third to magician Carl Quion.

Cardong Trumpo plans to use the prize money for his child's tuition fee, underscoring his commitment to his family.
