Thompson's triple-double leads Ginebra to win over Blackwater

Scottie Thompson recorded a triple-double with 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists as Barangay Ginebra secured a 112-98 victory over Blackwater in the PBA Season 49 Governors' Cup on Tuesday at Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Ginebra improved its record to 3-2 in Group B with the win, while Blackwater dropped to 3-4 but remains a formidable team following their three-game winning streak.

Coach Tim Cone praised George King's performance and emphasized that Blackwater is a serious contender this season, particularly noting the impact of King since his arrival as a replacement for Ricky Ledo.

Justin Brownlee contributed 20 points, nine rebounds, two assists, and three blocks, while rookie RJ Abarrientos added 15 points for Ginebra.

George King led Blackwater with another strong performance of 21 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists, and six turnovers.
