Coast Guard continues search for missing British diver

The Philippine Coast Guard in Dumaguete City continues its surface and coastal search for British national Mark David Morris who went missing after diving in Dauin, Negros Oriental on Tuesday.

Lt. Marionne Abigail Enopia, the Coast Guard-Negros Oriental station commander, announced that they have received a directive to maximize their floating assets for the ongoing search operations.

Despite two days of underwater searches being halted due to lack of success and personnel needing rest, surface searches and coastal patrols continue with additional resources such as high-speed response boats deployed from Basay town.

Volunteer scuba divers also continue their efforts in searching-and-retrieval operations alongside Coast Guard personnel.

Coastal and seaborne patrols by nearby PCG stations will likewise continue while authorities coordinate with counterparts in Mindanao.
