Classes suspended in Metro Manila, Laguna, Albay due to LPA

Various cities in Metro Manila and other provinces have suspended classes on Friday, August 22, due to adverse weather conditions caused by a low pressure area (LPA) within the Philippine area of responsibility.

As of 9:00 am, local government units across different regions are assessing weather conditions to decide on class suspensions.

In Metro Manila, Las Piñas City, Muntinlupa City, and Parañaque City have suspended classes at all levels for both public and private schools.

Region IV-A's Sta. Rosa in Laguna has halted classes from preschool to senior high school in public institutions.

Albay and Castilla in Region V have also suspended classes at all levels for both public and private schools due to the weather conditions.
