CJ Perez scores but Gilas loses steam against Angola

CJ Perez, who was benched in Gilas Pilipinas' first game against Dominican Republic, played 11 minutes and scored all 7 of his points in the first half against Angola.

Despite Perez's strong start, Gilas struggled in the second half, leading to a 16-point deficit which they couldn't recover from.

Perez emphasized that while he was pleased with his individual effort, the team lost sight of the fundamentals that made their early lead promising.
