Cignal beats ZUS Coffee 3-1 in PVL, Santos scores 21 points

Cignal snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating ZUS Coffee 22-25, 25-19, 25-18, 25-19 in the 2025 PVL Invitational Conference on Monday at the PhilSports Arena.

Erika Santos led Cignal with a strong performance, contributing 21 points including 20 attacks, while her teammates provided support to secure the victory.

In the fourth set, Wielyn Estoque briefly narrowed ZUS's deficit with key plays off the bench, but Cignal ultimately pulled away thanks to clutch performances by Tin Tiamzon and Vanie Gandler.

Tiamzon and Gandler were crucial in the endgame, scoring critical points as Cignal extended its lead before Jessa Ordiales sealed the win with a powerful attack.

With this victory, Cignal improved to 1-3 while ZUS dropped to 0-2, highlighting the importance of teamwork and resilience for the HD Spikers.
