CIAC, PPPI establish pharmaceutical hub in Clark

Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) has partnered with Philippine Pharma Procurement Inc. (PPPI) to establish a pharmaceutical logistics and distribution center within the Clark Aviation Capital (CAC).

The collaboration aims to transform CAC into the country's premier logistics hub, leveraging its current facilities used by global leaders like FedEx, UPS, and DHL.

CIAC President Jojit Alcazar highlighted that this partnership will ensure healthcare services and affordable medicines for remote communities across the Philippines while aligning with the Marcos administration’s agenda of providing accessible healthcare.

Located in Pampanga, about 80 kilometers northwest of Manila, CAC offers easy access to major transportation networks including NLEX, SCTEX, and TPLEX.

PPPI President Maria Bianca Kim Lokin told the Philippine News Agency that the project will require an initial investment of around PHP2 billion for five to ten hectares of land within a total area of 15 hectares.

The partnership will support the rollout of the Botika at Bakuna Para Sa Mamamayan (BBM) pharmacy program, which aims to make high-quality medicines accessible to all communities.
