Philippines plans PHP32B Entertainment and Events Center at Clark

The Philippines announced plans to construct a 37-hectare Entertainment and Events Center within the Clark aviation complex, capable of hosting major events and concerts by global superstars like Taylor Swift.

Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) CEO Arrey Perez revealed that the project will cost PHP32 billion and is set to begin construction in 2024, aiming to host major international events such as professional sports and concerts with a seating capacity of up to 30,000 by 2028.

Perez mentioned that at least three proponents from Singapore, the United States, and a local company are interested in investing in the project through a Public-Private Partnership setup.

The stadium will have an international convention center, an airport mall with over 300 stores, and a multi-modal terminal to accommodate diverse transportation modes for up to 200,000 passengers per day.

CIAC is also engaging the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Public-Private Partnership Center to aid in the establishment of planned flagship projects such as the National Food Hub.
