Charo Santos-Concio honors filmmaker Mike de Leon

Veteran actress Charo Santos-Concio honored her friend and fellow filmmaker Mike de Leon, who passed away at age 78.

Charo starred in several of Mike's films, including 'Kisapmata,' 'Kakabakaba Ka Ba?,' 'Itim,' and 'Aguila.'

In an Instagram post, Charo described Mike as a perfectionist and her first mentor in filmmaking, from whom she learned the discipline of preparing shot lists, mounting scenes, and editing.

Charo highlighted their bond as soulmates in artistry, noting that Mike was always present during significant moments in her life, offering quiet support.

The veteran actress concluded by saying Mike's work is complete, with his films continuing to illuminate Philippine history, fears, and dreams.
