CFO signs MOA with FEU for student exchange program

The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) signed a memorandum of agreement with Far Eastern University (FEU) to formalize their partnership for the Exchange Visitor Program (EVP), which aims to enhance global competence among Filipino students.

During a signing ceremony, CFO Secretary Romeo Arugay highlighted that participating students must attend a mandatory pre-departure orientation seminar and emphasized the program's goal of integrating Filipino students into American culture and industries.

FEU clarified that it does not offer scholarships under the EVP but remains committed to improving international work experiences for students through partnerships with government bodies like the CFO.

The agreement intends to immerse students in the environment of the CFO, enhancing their global competence through cooperation between government agencies, academic institutions, and industry leaders.

With 1,531 participants registered within the first quarter of 2024, the CFO remains committed to assisting young Filipinos who wish to join the EVP by reaching out to them directly.
