Cebu Pacific resumes Iloilo-Hong Kong flights, adds new domestic routes

Cebu Pacific Air resumed its international route from Iloilo International Airport to Hong Kong with a maiden flight on Sunday at 11 p.m., and is now offering flights for as low as PHP 1.

Tourism regional director Crisanta Marlene Rodriguez emphasized that this move reinforces Iloilo's position as an international gateway for tourists and business travelers in the Visayas region, while Cebu Pacific announced three new domestic routes from Iloilo to Tagbilaran, Daraga (Legazpi), and Dumaguete.

Cebu Pacific will operate four flights weekly from Iloilo to Hong Kong starting November 25, with additional direct flights to Singapore beginning in November.

The airline is flying daily to Tagbilaran starting December 1, thrice weekly to Daraga starting December 2, and twice weekly to Dumaguete starting December 3.

Rodriguez highlighted the Department of Tourism's role in training locals on hospitality and developing tourism products like an ecotourism circuit.
