Cebu Pacific to double seat capacity on domestic routes with A330neo

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific will introduce Airbus A330neo aircraft on several domestic routes starting in October, doubling seat capacity for flights via Bohol, Iloilo, and Puerto Princesa.

The airline will operate seven weekly flights between Manila and Iloilo beginning October 26, four weekly flights to Puerto Princesa starting November 2, and seven weekly flights to Bohol from November 16.

Cebu Pacific recently became the first local carrier with a 100-strong fleet after receiving its latest A330neo aircraft, which can seat up to 459 passengers, compared to current planes that accommodate up to 236 seats for Iloilo and Puerto Princesa routes.

The new aircraft promises lower fuel consumption and reduced noise levels compared to previous models, enhancing passenger comfort while offering more seats at lower fares.

Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific's president and chief commercial officer, expressed enthusiasm about expanding operations with the A330neo, emphasizing its role in making travel more accessible and driving tourism ahead of the holiday season.
